So I'm going to be moving to America and need to know what grade I will be when I get there. So any ideas? I was born in July = hope that helps? I was born July '93

Depending somewhat on the month the child was born in most children start first grade at age 5 or 6. They go to kindergarten the year before 1st grade. Hope that helps. By the way, welcome and we hope you like it here.

Sophomore = 10 (Just starting High School) Junior = 11 Senior = 12 Some High Schools have 9 thru 12th yr. 9 would be a (starting) Freshman. At least that's how it was in N.Y., where I grew up.

I'm a 10th grader in America and since you were born in July 1993, you would most definitely be a freshman (9th grade). Everyone in my grade was either born in 1991 or 1992. Have fun here!

It depends what class if you have taken in the U.k. if most of them match up as a freshmen you probably a freshmen (9th) but lets says most of the class you have taken our like 10th grader class you probably will be in the 10th grade I am sure thou your parents will have some say (you may have to take some test or something depending on school district)
