Would you send your child to a Hindu faith school in the UK

Would you send your child to a Hindu faith school in the UK?
Having seen the news a few weeks ago that the first Hindu faith school has been established in London (I think it was) I was wondering if any non-Hindus (or even Hindus) would send their children there? I know I most certainly would without hesitation... but what about you?

Hah! no.

yeah why not? im not hindu but indians are certainly extremely friendly and are very caring ppl. Their faith also goes back a long long way and they are very community based . And they have sooo many festivals, kids would have a ball! :P
3 :
Sure. I'd rather send my child to a Hindu school than any other faith - and I'm Jewish! Hindus have lovely, peaceful beliefs. Peace.
4 :
Faith schools are an abomination and should be illegal. A government that allows faith schools should be whipped every time they hear the word segregation.
5 :
No. Not being Hindus, I see no reason. And you should have a lot of hesitation towards something brand new that might turn out to be a crap school.
6 :
Mary is contrary. They would not at least teach how holy were the crusaders and inquisitors.

You shouldn't have any problem as soon as you learn the language.... Thus, when we speak of "New York English" as a variety of English, we are referring to a composite of the various forms spoken there. Similarly, if we can identify a New Yorker from his or her speech, we are using at least some of the features which collectively help distinguish New Yorkers from other Americans. http://www.ic.arizona.edu/~lsp/Northeast/NewYorkEnglish/NewYorkEnglish.html **************************** **************************** And the native police culture as it deviates from the UK.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqOiejxdEWA

I don't know about NYPD, but most places that I have seen in the U.S. require citizenship for hiring. This is a quote from my last Department regarding being hired: CITIZENSHIP: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien who is eligible and has applied for citizenship. I would expect this is fairly common across the U.S. (though I am sure there are exceptions to this somewhere) Good luck to you.

No.. In order to be an NYPD officer you have to be a US Citizen.

Boarding school in the UK-6th form and other q's.ASAP

Boarding school in the UK-6th form and other q's.ASAP?
I need help with this, because I'm not very familiar with the whole British educational system. So the thing is - I live outside the UK, and I will be starting my 11th year of High School now... My problem is that I will probably go to Uni in the UK, but I want to take A-levels before I do, because this is the requirement of some top universities and I believe that studying in English will help me later in Uni. The thing is: will I be able to finish my 12th year(last year) in the UK at a boarding school in order to take the A-levels?I mean, will the school accept me for the last 1 year of school? I'm extremely hard-working and I adapt very quickly, I study 24/7 and I'm sure that I will cope with the material in English (I study in another language now).. Meanwhile, this year I will be taking IELTS and hopefully will manage to get a high score.. Besides, I really hate living where I do, and I have always wanted to go to live in England. I'm working on my "boarding school research" now to find a decent school with decent teachers. I've came across with Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies- does anyone know something about this school? I figured that it's a 6-form only which is good and they also help you adapt to the Uni independent life. It is really important that I get some advice...please. And I will be grateful if you can recommend me some other good boarding schools. I also liked Stover School? And the reviews about it are very good. Is it possible to study only 1 year for the A-levels? I'm willing to study hard and i can. To make things clear- can my 6th form be 1-year and not 2-year long?

as far as i'm aware, u must to as levels before you can be accepted into the final year of 6th form. so to explain, in year 12 (lower 6th) you do as levels and in year 13 (upper 6th) you do a-levels. in order to enter the final year, you need specific grades to continue to a levels in your as levels. so in response to your question you would be better off doing both 6th form years in the uk or doing as levels where you are and then transferring. if i were you, i would contact specific schools just to make sure.

You can't study A level in one year. A levels are broken down into two parts AS & A2)
