I'm planning to go to school in the UK in 2012 fall semester. What do I need to do before I move there? How much on average is it going to cost me? Will it be worth it? I need as much information as anyone will give me. Please.

hi there make sure you got your visa in place and somewhere to live. It's a total different world over there then you are use too. Wrong side of the Street driving, food, houses..etc..you should really take a visit out there and see what you are in for I moved from canada to the UK loved it but it also takes time to get use use. I loved receiving my canadian gifts from family... my cpt crunch ketchup chips cheese whiz...amazing as the uk it isn't home. I will say the UK is very expensive depending on where yah live. Seems the closer you are to london the more expensive it is. Check out the trains before you go...find out what trains run where. Will it be worth it?,,,,,,,,of course it will not only for yourself but the experience it will bring to your life...I hope this somewhat helps you all the best on your journey

If this is being arranged through your US university exchange, then make sure they are providing housing for you. They will be able to tell you the fees as they are different if you go through your US uni vs applying directly on your own to a university in the UK.
