I'm a US citizen and have just spent a semester in the UK as a "student visitor.' i wish to stay a second semester, and am currently applying for a student visa so I can stay till May. How long will the processing take? I have to be back in school (UK) by Feb 8th I'm not really sure how long it took but I had to give my acceptance letter from the college and a letter saying that I could support myself. There's more too it and you'll hVe to check online. Google search how to obtain a visa or student visitor or somenthing. I'd recommend going as a general student not student visitor... How long did it take to get your "Student visitor" visa and what did you have to provide. I am due for a January start date but had a delay in getting my visa letter from the institution. I either have to wait for the fall semester or go as a visiting student.
