The best resource I've seen for UK schools is the Good Schools Guide (which you can get at Amazon). It has a quirky but reasonably accurate description of each school and gives you a good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of each. Do you want co-ed or single sex? Do you want religious (if so, which one)? Do you want IB? Or are you principally interested in academic results? You can check league tables in the major newspapers (try the Times or Guardian online education section). Some independent schools also have Ofsted reports (which are thorough and give an excellent indication of what the inspectors think the school does well and could do better). On a more specific note, I've only heard good things about Ampleforth recently...

Availability of Homosexual/Bisexual/Crossdress/Transgender rights in UK schools
Availability of Homosexual/Bisexual/Crossdress/Transgender rights in UK schools?
I need information of the rights and common rules effecting people who are Homosexual, Bisexual, Cross-dressers and Transgender in schools in the United Kingdom. Could anyone provide information on where to get these details, or the details themselves? Thank you :)

There are no specific rights afforded to the groups you list in school. The only ones that apply are those which apply to everyone, but as the rights apply to adults, and school children are 16 and under, they carry little weight
2 :
Gay rights are the same as straight people rights. i don't see why it should be any different.
3 :
There the same rights as heterosexuals, but if you mean about teaching homosexuality in schools, i'm not sure today. When i was taught about it it lasted about 1min and basically told if your gay you will get aids, that was in the 90's. No wonder it took me ages to come out, the teachers frighten you to death :-)

Among the Best UK/US Curriculum Schools - 1. Cambridge International School (Approx. AED 13,000 - AED 19,000) 2. Wellington International School (AED 29,687 - AED 64,585) - Among the Best Schools in Dubai 3. Emirates International School ( Approx AED 30,000 - AED 60,000) 4. Dubai International Academy (Approx AED 30,000 - AED 55,000) Cambridge and Wellington follow the IGCSE Curriculum and Emirates International School and Dubai International Academy follow the IB Curriculum. Even i am looking for my admission in one of these schools and seriously, all four of these schools are great.
2 :
Take a look at all the UK curriculum and US curriculum schools in Dubai and compare the cost of education to arrive at the most suitable option according to your requirements and affordability. below is the link that can be useful to you http://www.dubaimoms.com/AllResources.php?id=47&cid=2&sid=8

What would happen if I did my first two years of High School in the USA, then sixth form, then back to the US
What would happen if I did my first two years of High School in the USA, then sixth form, then back to the US?
What would happen if I did my first two years of High School in the USA, then sixth form, then back to the US for going to a university? would that mean i didn't complete highschool? Is that even do-able? Could somebody suggest how i could go to boarding school in the UK at the age of 17 for ONE year, and after that go back to the states for my final year of high school? How would i go about that?

Check into an exchange system. There are lots of exchange programs out there these days, if it is just something you want to experiment rather than your parents moving for just a year. You should also be asking these questions to your school counselor and to the college of your choice to see what the differences are and what you need to do to be considered a graduate. Lots of foreigners come to America to go to school, so there has to be equivelancy procedures. Just ask your High school counselors and the college you want to go to.
2 :
A-Levels aren't generally recognized in America. So it'll be pretty pointless. You'll be left with no High School diploma and you'd have done AS Level which is worthless in America. To be able to do this you will need to do IB which is recognized in both America and the UK. Which would mean you could do one year in the UK and the rest in America and use it to apply for University in the US. To apply for boarding school in the UK you'll need to find a boarding school and have enough money to pay for the tuition fees and the housing fees and they'll generally accept you. Oh and you may need a visa.

It really depends on your high school. Talk to a counselor. Yes, I. B. will work, but there may be other options.

There are many, where abouts in the UK would you like to go? Staffordshire, Worcester, Roehampton, and several in Scotland, although these are 4 year courses rather than 3. Among the best are Durham, in Northern England, and Exeter in the south. If I were you I'd go with one of these.
2 :
Well, I heard the Manchester University of Bestiality Pornography offers a degree in Humanistic Pig Fornication Analysis. I got my degree from this prestigious university a few years back. Good luck!
