importamt question about school in the UK

importamt question about school in the UK?
i live in the UK and am in year 11 but i am going on holiday during my exams and will have to resit.so how much will i have to pay to resit just one exam? thank you in advance

postpone your holiday. if you choose to resit, you will regret it in november when you are supposed to be working for your ASs, regardless of the cost. If you want to find out though you need to go to the website of the exam board with whom you would be sitting the exam, try looking under independent candidates etc. When I was in yr 11 (only two years ago mind), my last exam was a full week after everyone else had finished bar four of us. It was worth a whole GCSE and I could have blown it off, but I had spent two years working towards it and it just didnt seem worth it. You won't want to be redoing it again I promise. Most airlines will let you change the date of your flight etc for only a small fee.... Think about it.

Top Law school in the UK

Top Law school in the UK?
I'm from Malaysia. I've just finished high school (it's not A-levels here). I took English Language in the national examination. It has a section called 1119 (which is Cambridge marking). The result will be released in March. Moreover, I'm interested in doing Business Law. My questions are: Where should I go? College or University? What colleges and universities would you suggest? What are the requirements? The entrance time? The fees? Do i have to take IELTS? Can I apply for scholarships? (if possible) Thanks in advance.

I can't give specific advice, but a few comments: 1) If you're coming to the UK, you want a university, not a college. Our colleges are generally for 16-18 year olds and teach up to A level, not degree standard. 2) If you want to start in September 2008, you need to hurry. You've already missed the Oxford and Cambridge application deadlines.

Can i go to college in UK when I graduate from High School for the next 4 years?
Is it possible that in stead of going to a college or university in America, that i go to University or College in UK?

yea you can. i'm not sure how it works but i know people who are going to school in Europe after they complete highschool in the US

Yes, it's possible. In fact, I plan on attending university in England as well.

Yes you can. Generally. However you will need to be reasonably good academically, and have the money to fund an education over here, as you would be treated as an overseas student (and therefore have to pay full fees). You should also be aware that 4 year degrees in the UK are not very common. 4 year degrees are often either science or technical degrees or"sandwich" degrees with a year's work experience in industry between the 2nd and final years of the degree. Degrees in the UK are not the same as in the US. They are not a general liberal arts education. They are degrees in a specific subject. There is not major/minor system - just a degree in your subject. Students in the UK specialise in the 2 years prior to university in 3 subjects, so where a university states that it requires particular A level, you may need to have an AP in an analagous subject. Best place to look for universities is through UCAS (the central application system). Look on individual university websites for admissions requirements.

Try the Midlands Christian College http://www.midbible.ac.uk who offer theology courses by distance learning. Their courses are cheap and accredited by the University of Wales, Lampeter
